Edwin Coe, M.D., MBA graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in 1987. He attended Medical College of Wisconsin and received his M.D. in 1991. He completed his internal medicine residency at CPMC in 1994 and was Chief Resident, 1994-1995. In 1997 he was named the Medical Director of the Irene Swindell Alzheimer's Center. He joined IMMG in 1996 and remained with the group when it became PIMG. Dr Coe also completed an MBA at UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2003. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Jacqueline Denkabe, M.D. graduated from the University of Ghana in 1997 with a B.S. in Medical Sciences. She received her Doctor of Medicine in 2001 from the University of Ghana Medical School in 2001. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Columbia University New York in 2005. Dr. Denkabe is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Jessica Evert, M.D. has joined the St. Luke’s Hospital Hospitalists team as a Nocturnist. Dr. Evert has been working in inpatient medicine at several Bay Area Hospitals. She graduated from Emory University with a BS in Anthropology and Human Biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in 2005. She then completed her residency program at UCSF in Family and Community Medicine in 2008. She has worked as a hospitalist at Eden Medical Center and was also an Urgent Care Physician for John Muir Health and San Francisco General. She is Board Certified in Family Practice. We are extremely delighted to have Dr. Evert join our group. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Evert to our team.

Lauren Friedly, M.D. graduated from Stanford University in 1990 with an A.B in Human Biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine in 2000 from the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed her residency program at CPMC in 2004 and continued as Chief Resident in 2005. Dr. Friedly has been a hospitalist since 2005 working as a Subspecialty Hospitalist at CPMC and as a Hospitalist at Marin General Hospital. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Claudio Gallina, M.D. graduated from Santa Clara University in 1990 with a B.S. in Biology. He later attended Louisiana State University where he obtained a M.S. in Molecular Biology in 1993. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1999. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the University of California San Francisco-Fresno in 2002. Dr. Gallina has been a hospitalist at St. Luke's Hospital since 2003. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dan Goodman, M.D. is well known within CPMC and St. Luke’s Hospital where he has been an Infectious Disease Consultant since 2003. He graduated from Amherst College in 1993 with a B.A in Political Science. He attended the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine receiving his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Vermont, Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in 2000. Afterwards, he completed a Fellowship in Medicine and Infectious Disease in 2002 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Joan and Sanford Weil Medical College. Dr. Goodman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Casey Jackson, M.D. received his B.A in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999. He then attended Georgetown University of Medicine graduating in 2003. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center 2006. Dr. Jackson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Prior to joining our team at St.Luke’s Hospitals, Dr Jackson practiced medicine at the Health Loop in Memphis Tennessee.

Bhavna Kasturia, M.D. graduated from the Government Medical College in Amristar, India with a MBBS in 1998. After practicing medicine for a year, Dr. Kasturia completed one year of surgery internship at New York Hospital Medical Center. She later completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center Drexel University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She recently joined St.Luke's as a hospitalist in 2008 and continues with PIMG into 2009.

Bao Tran, M.D. comes to us from the University of California, San Francisco where he is a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Hospital Medicine. He graduated from Brown University with a B.A in Biology in 2003. He attended the University of Pennsylvania receiving his Doctor of Medicine in 2007. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF Medical Center in 2010. Dr. Tran is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
